In the winter since I have a little more time, I like to give more attention to doing things around my home, reevaluating anything that is working or not for us, more new recipe research, more crafts, more indoor/outdoor projects with the help of my husband, and finally getting around to editing my own family’s personal photos <3

Usually I share some of this in reels on Instagram throughout the year, but I’ve decided to blog this series instead this year, naming it #contentwithChloe where I will share weekly one beauty/health product I am loving, recipe recommendations I’ve tried that the whole family appreciates, and a craft/project too!

No affiliate links here, but I will include where you can find them. I hope this winter series inspires you in the kitchen, to create something new, or most importantly in your home where I hope you feel restored and the most joy.

Hydrangeas year round

It is undoubtedly southern, and who doesn’t love them? We have some in our front yard and last fall they really came into their own. I usually cut them right before I know they will lose their color and turn brown. Maybe it’s October or maybe it’s November, depending on the weather that year. Then I put them in a few vases in our living, dining, and kitchen area. But I must say after the Christmas decorations went down our mantel was looking extremely bare, actually too bare. So I decided to arrange some up there as well to tie it all in to our open concept floor plan. Now don’t get me wrong, I had a number of fake plants and palms that I don’t have to worry about and keep some green throughout, as well as a few real succulents and snake plants, but I love adding a third category and it makes me anticipate my spring blooms that much more.

Hair oil after I style with heat

I have naturally curly hair and growing up in the 90’s straightening your hair was definitely the style. These days I opt for styling my hair either straight (with some bounce still) or curled with a wand which works perfectly with my naturally curly hair, but all these options to take heat to get it to where I want. For almost a year now after styling I have been putting this hair oil on my hair mainly focusing on the ends, but I can put it farther up and it does not make it too oily either! I think I’ll be using this indefintely and it smells fabulous too!

3 desserts I make on repeat for hosting, gatherings, and for my own family to enjoy

Churro Cookies by Joanna (just the most fun of cinnamon and sugar, everyone loves)

Candied Pecans (there are different ways, this is our fave)

Chocolate Chip Cookies by Joanna (simple and usually have all the ingredients)
