Chloe answers faqs - part 3

How much does wedding experience in a photographer matter?

There are always going to be newer/beginner photographers and more experienced/veterans in the wedding industry. Their pricing structure usually reflects that. Every photographer was once a beginner too and everyone determines a price point they are comfortable investing. Each couple must consider all the variables of cost, experience, reviews, and researching their investment in photography. You absolutely want someone who can consistently produce beautiful images in all circumstances, adapt to changes weather, provide timeline suggestions, posing guidance, overcome any hurdles during the day, and ultimately give a seamless and fabulous experience before, during, and after your day!

Should I have an engagement session?

If you can, then absolutely yes! Sometimes you may not be local to your photographer and it can’t work with schedules, but we include our engagement sessions complimentary in our full day coverage. It is such a great opportunity to get dressed up, take photos for your save the dates and upcoming showers, and document your engagement era. It also is a great time to get to know and get comfortable with your photographer. When they show up on the wedding day, they already feel like a friend because you’ve already spent time together.

What does my photographer need to know before I send an inquiry email?

Ideally if you are starting to inquire, a photographer needs to know the venue and the date. This helps in case they need to plan day of travel that day before and block the entire weekend. Some photographers like myself book a limited amount of weddings per year to make sure I am serving my clients well!
