The first time Nathaniel and I toured this home with our realtor Nichole, I knew I wanted to make the dining room my office with pineapple wallpaper, and I knew I wanted to replace the kitchen desk with a drop zone. It makes sense for us to have a place for backpacks, bags, hats, and anything else that needs to be dropped off when you come in! If you have been following our home renovations, then it’s no surprise we chose blue for this :) Each of us has a little hook with our initial, and I keep puzzles in the baskets below for the kids to play with while I make dinner. Nathaniel has his own white basket for work stuff, and all of my work stuff is in the office.

We found a local small business, Matthews Woodcrafters, who built exactly what we designed with the measurements for our space. I included below what we used to stain and paint too! This is one of my favorite things in the house! Hope you enjoy, coming next is our downstairs bathroom reno!
